Orlando posed newborn photography with sibling

There are several options out there when considering photos of your brand-new baby. Photos at the hospital, photos in your home (lifestyle photography), photos with minimal posing (baby led) and of course, posed newborn photography. If you are looking for Orlando posed newborn photography however, you’ve come to the right place!

Posed newborn portraits have grown in popularity over the last decade or so and it is my favorite genre. It requires a lot of patience and a lot of practice.  A super sleepy baby is key and this is why these portraits are done when babies are 1-2 weeks old.  We want to be able to replicate those curled up positions baby was so used to in the womb.  Attention to every little detail gives you those polished little poses showcasing just how tiny your new baby is. The use of props is also common with posed newborn photography. Whether with cute animal stuffies, baskets, buckets or tiny beds, there are lots of adorable options.

This session was for a returning client. I photographed big sister for her Orlando newborn session in 2013 (time sure flies by!) and now her little brother is here.  Photographing a newborn with siblings is not always easy but knowing how to pose baby just right results in the sweetest images. This image is one of my favorite sibling images and you can see it on my website.

We also incorporated some of mom’s favorite props: heart bowl, bucket and a football stuffie.
